Hey there, Julie Lorenzen here to tell you a little about me. I have spent most of my adult life working on the high seas as a boat captain, scuba diving as a Dive Master, as well as teaching Living History on historical sailing tall ships to school-age students in San Diego, California at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. During this time I have grown to love and appreciate the delicate balance not to mention the unforgiving power of our oceans. Since retiring from running boats, I have dedicated my life to educating the general public through my wildlife photography. It is through my lens that I can tell their stories, of the hardship, triumphs, and miracles that happen each and every day.
I currently live in the Monterey Bay area where I will continue to work as a wildlife photographer, and dive master and share my love for the ocean as well as for all the creatures that live in or near its shores.
